Let's start the replacement operation by unhooking the old plastic that frames the gearbox. We don't need any special tools and we can remove it simply by pulling it off with our hands. We lift the gearshift gaiter and free the frame by unhooking the fasteners present at the ends. Now that we have removed the old element we can replace it with the new one by inserting it on the gear lever and hooking it to the gearshift gaiter. Lastly, let's place the plastic frame at the base of the gearbox by applying pressure with your hands to make it hook correctly.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
