How to Replace the Key Shell on a Saab 93

Model: Saab 9 3 MK 2 - Years 2002-2014

Remove the part where the keyring attaches by pulling it outwards. This will extract the metal key from your vehicle. Using the metal key, you can separate the two halves of the key, the upper and lower parts. Now you have access to both the battery and the remote circuit. Remove the circuit and battery, place them in the new shell, and secure them in the same position as they were in the old key. Finally, reassemble the key shell by joining the two halves and reinserting the metal key.
