Replacement of the vibrating front discs of a Seat Arona.

Model: Seat Arona MK 1 - Years 2017-2026

The Seat Arona in the video needs to have its front discs replaced despite only having 20,000 km. Obviously, they are not worn out, but they have overheated and become warped, causing strong vibrations in the steering during braking. We lift the vehicle and remove the brake caliper by taking off the two rubber caps at the back that cover the caliper pins; then we unscrew the two hex bolts, extract them, and lift the caliper, placing it on a support. We retract the piston to make room for the new pads, remove the old ones, take out the T30 screw that secures the disc to the hub, and remove the disc. We clean the hub where the new disc will sit thoroughly with a wire brush, then do the same with the guides and the area of the piston. We are careful not to damage the rubber seals. We spray everything with brake cleaner and dry it well; using compressed air is not recommended, as it would just create a lot of dust. We apply a thin layer of grease on the pads' guides and the caliper pins, insert the new pads into their guides, reattach the caliper, tighten the two hex bolts, replace the rubber caps, remount the wheel, and tighten the nuts. We repeat the entire process on the other side.
