Replace the Steering Wheel on Seat Altea

Want to remove the steering wheel from the Seat Altea? Let’s look at removing the airbag and then the steering wheel. Disconnect the battery terminals before removing any parts. Insert a screwdriver behind the holes in the steering wheel and release the central airbag. Once the airbag is released, disconnect its power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the central fastening screw and take off the steering wheel from the column. Fit the new steering wheel onto the column and screw in the bolt, then connect the airbag power connector and press the airbag back onto the steering wheel until it locks in place.
