How to replace the thermostat on the Seat Ibiza/Leon

Model: Seat Ibiza 6P, 6J - Years 2008-2017

To proceed with the removal of the vehicle's thermostat, follow these steps: open the bonnet and first drain the coolant by unscrewing the cap located under the radiator. Then locate the thermostat, which is situated just behind the alternator, and use pliers to release the hose clamps of the pipe feeding the thermostat. Also, take a socket wrench to remove the fastening bolts of the thermostat itself; first, extract the thermostat support, which requires rotating it half a turn. At this point, you can remove the thermostat; after replacing the thermostat gasket, take the new thermostat and position it in the housing. Finally, reassemble the various components in reverse order and refill the cooling system with coolant.
