If you hear creaking noises from the rear suspension while driving on uneven surfaces, one cause may be the hardening or fouling of the rubber components in the suspension. This is more common in vehicles that drive on snowy roads during winter, where salt is spread; the corrosive action of the salt may affect the suspension system. A first solution to eliminate or at least reduce these creaks is to lubricate the rubber bushes of the rear suspension control arms.
