How to Replace the Car Radio in the Seat Altea

Model: Seat Altea MK 1 - Years 2004-2015

To change the car radio in the Seat Altea, follow these steps: start by inserting the clips to remove the radio into the slots on the radio (if they don't fit, widen the plastic with a small screwdriver). Push them all the way in, spreading the clips outward, then pull out the radio. Disconnect the various connectors, take the connectors/plugs from the new radio, and connect them to the original connectors/plugs of the car. Connect the original plugs to the new radio (the LFB adapter with a 3.5 mm jack is included only with can-bus interfaces with LFB control). Tuck the wires in and insert the new radio into its slot. Now, programming occurs between the steering wheel controls and the radio: turn on the ignition, hold the reset button until the LED flashes red, then green and turns off. Press volume+ on the steering wheel (5 times); the LED will then flash green 6 times. Confirm with the mode button on the steering wheel; the LED should now light up green, and you can turn off the ignition. Install the new radio in its slot and test the new radio.
