How to Change the Key Battery of the Seat Ateca

When the Seat Ateca does not open, the first suspect is the remote control, particularly its battery which may be flat. Take the remote and open it; it is a snap-fit, so open the casing firmly - but without excessive force. Using a pen or a small screwdriver, remove the button cell battery, which is a common CR2032, available for a few pounds at a newsagent or supermarket. Be careful to insert it back in the correct polarity. At this point, simply reassemble the casing, securing the clips, and you're done.
