How to change the battery of the Skoda Octavia III

In this video, we will see how to change the battery of the Skoda Octavia III: to remove the old battery, we use a 13mm socket wrench to unscrew the bolt of the metal support plate, and then remove it. First, disconnect the negative terminal (black cable) with a 10mm wrench, then move it to prevent accidental reconnection; repeat for the positive red terminal. Now we remove the old battery. Clean the terminals with fine sandpaper to remove any oxide and apply copper grease to prevent future oxidation. Place the new battery, connect the positive terminal first, then the negative one, put back the plastic cap and the support plate, screwing the bolt tightly.
