How to replace the fuel filter of the Skoda Superb TDI

Model: Skoda Superb 3V, B8 - Years 2015-2023

Let's see how to replace the diesel filter on a Skoda Superb TDI: the fuel system is pressurized, so it must be depressurized before working on it; disconnect the electrical connector and start the vehicle for a few seconds, to allow it to consume the diesel present in the injectors; remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse box and try to start the engine. This will release the pressure. The filter is located next to the engine block. At this point, we can simply lift the cover, as there is no more pressure in the system. Using a syringe, remove the diesel from the container, in order to avoid dirtying the engine when removing the old filter. Remove the dirty filter, replace it with the new one with its gasket, fill the tank with clean diesel, and close the cover. Replace the fuse and turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine, leaving it on for a few seconds; this will activate the fuel pump, helping to prime and remove air. Repeat this operation several times and then start the engine.
