You can replace the remote battery on a Škoda Kodiaq by sliding the key out from the top of the device: at this point, you can lever inside the key housing to detach the cover panel on the back of the remote. The underlying battery can now be released from its seat by prying with an object to insert the new replacement part. At this point, you can close the remote again to check that everything works correctly.
