How to Reset the Infotainment System on Skoda Vehicles

To reset the Skoda infotainment system, first attempt a soft reset for minor bugs, which does not erase any settings, by holding down the power button for about 15 seconds. The screen will turn off and back on, displaying the Skoda logo. If this does not work, perform a hard reset, which will erase all customisations and return to factory settings. With the engine running (to avoid battery drain), go to the 'settings' menu, find 'system', and select 'reset factory settings'. You will be asked for confirmation; proceed, and it will take a few minutes to complete. If the screen does not turn on, disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes; this will also reset the clock and ECU settings. Check for firmware updates that may resolve many issues.
