How to Remove the Ignition Cylinder and Steering Lock of the Skoda Octavia

Model: Skoda Octavia 1U, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004

Below are the instructions that will allow you to remove and replace the ignition cylinder and steering lock of the Skoda Octavia. First, get inside the vehicle and start removing the plastic covers located behind the steering wheel; then remove the airbag and the steering wheel itself by disconnecting the electrical connector and unscrewing the central bolt. Next, remove the steering angle sensor, then disconnect the electrical connector of the ignition cylinder; remove the pin to take out the inner cylinder, performing the repair of the steering lock or replacing the entire component.
