How to Change the Air Filter on a Skoda Roomster

This video shows how to change the air filter on a Skoda Roomster: all you need, apart from the new filter, is a cross-head screwdriver. The air box is a black plastic container, usually rectangular, located in a corner of the engine compartment, from which a large flexible hose leads to the engine. The cover is secured with cross-head screws, which you will unscrew; lift the cover, which is often hinged on one side. Under the cover, you will find the filter. Remove the dirty filter, clean the container thoroughly of dust and debris, and place the new filter in position, ensuring that the rubber edge of the filter is well seated on the edge of the box, sealing perfectly. Replace the cover, screw the screws back in, and you’re done.
