How to Replace the Number Plate Bulbs on Škoda Octavia 3rd Generation

Replacing the number plate bulbs on the Škoda Octavia 3rd generation is a fairly simple task as the bulb holders feature a spring release that is easily activated. By pressing with a flat screwdriver on the outer side of the bulb holder towards the inner side, you will notice some play caused by the spring, allowing the outer hook to come out and thus enabling the extraction of the bulb holder. Once the bulb holder is removed, you will have access to the bulb and the power connector, which can be disconnected for easier access to the bulb. At this point, the bulb can be released via the metal tab that holds it to the bulb holder, and once replaced with a new one, the bulb holder can be reattached in its place.
