How to Replace the Key Battery in a Skoda Octavia

In this video, we will see how to replace the key battery in a Skoda Octavia. To start, open the key by pressing the appropriate button. Once opened, insert your fingers into the slot where the key was stored and gently pull, as shown at minute 1:18, to remove the plastic cover (on the side opposite the buttons, under the Skoda logo). Once the cover is removed, you will find the CR2032 battery compartment; replace it with the new battery, inserting the negative side down and the positive side facing you. Then, reposition the plastic cover and press gently to secure it.
