Replacing the Battery of a Skoda Fabia 2

This tutorial explains how to replace the battery in a Skoda Fabia 2. First, switch off the car and ensure the handbrake is fully engaged. Open the bonnet by lifting the designated release lever. The battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment. Remove the battery support plate using a socket and a 13 mm socket. Then, using a socket and a 10 mm socket, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, ensuring the connected cable is fully removed. Using a flat screwdriver, detach the plastic cover from the positive terminal, then unscrew it with a 10 mm spanner. Next, remove the battery fuse holder and extract the battery itself. Clean the inside of the terminals with sandpaper and insert the new battery. Apply copper grease to the terminals and position the support plate. Screw in the positive terminal and refit the plastic cover. Finally, reconnect the negative terminal and the battery support plate.
