To replace the battery in the Škoda Octavia remote, lift the emergency key by pressing the designated button at the top of the remote. Once the key is lifted, leverage it within its housing to remove the back cover of the remote. After the cover is removed, you will have access to the underlying battery. This can be extracted from its housing using a flathead screwdriver and replaced with a new spare part.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
