The number plate light on the Skoda Octavia 2 is easily replaceable when burnt out because the light unit is easily accessible and the replacement only requires a screwdriver. And of course, a new bulb. There are two light units for the number plate lights, each containing a bulb. Identify the blown one and use the screwdriver to remove the two fixing screws of the light unit, then pull it out and disconnect the electrical connector for easier access. At this point, simply replace the bulb and refit the light unit.
