Replacing the Air Filter on the Skoda Octavia

To ensure the engine of the Skoda Octavia breathes well, you must replace the air filter at the intervals specified in the maintenance schedule. If you drive on particularly dusty roads, you should bring forward the replacement intervals. Open the bonnet of the engine bay, unscrew the screws that secure the filter housing cover, and lift it off. Remove the old filter element, clean the housing with a blast of compressed air, taking care to block the duct leading to the engine, and replace it with a new one, ensuring correct installation. Refit the cover and tighten the securing screws.
