In this video, learn how to start your Skoda Kodiaq even with a flat key. You will notice that in the central console of the vehicle, there is a small recess, too small to be a proper storage compartment and too large to be a coin holder. This is actually the slot where the key must be inserted in this situation.

Inside, there is a chip that recognises the key, even if the battery is flat. The only caution is to position the remote buttons facing the front of the car. At this point, simply start the engine by pressing the button as normal.
