The following steps will illustrate how to remove and replace the coolant temperature sensor on a Skoda Octavia engine. First, open the bonnet and locate the temperature sensor situated at the bottom; then disconnect the electrical connector and unclip the metal retaining clip using a flat screwdriver, as shown in the video.

Now detach the temperature sensor and replace it with the new original one; secure it properly with the new clip and finally reconnect the electrical connector.
