How to replace the bulbs on the smart fortwo

Do you want to replace the headlight bulbs on your Smart Fortwo? Let's see in this video how to proceed. We open the plastic levers placed on the sides of the front grille with our hands. Once the front plastic is free, lift it up with your hands, then remove it from the car body as shown in the video. Once the aforementioned piece has been removed, we remove the headlights from the car body and replace the bulbs. To proceed with the assembly: we screw the headlights into the compartment, fix the plastic coating with our hands on the front part of the nose and then on the lower part. Finally, we close the levers of the front hood opening with our hands.

You can purchase an aftermarket gear shift cover complete with a knob, made of leather with coloured stitching. The disassembly is quite straightforward: start by unscrewing the gear shift knob by twisting it. Next, detach the trim at the base of the gear lever by prying along the edges. Then, remove the chrome trim that holds the gaiter in place, peeling off the leather edges from the plastic support. Apply new double-sided adhesive to the plastic tabs to insert and stick the edges of the new gaiter, securing it with the chrome trim. Finally, fit the gaiter complete with the knob onto the gear lever, securing it with the appropriate screws and reattaching the trim to the tunnel support.
