How to replace the gear shift knob on the Smart Forfour

Below we will discover the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the gear shift knob of the manual transmission of the Smart Forfour. First, let's get inside the vehicle and start unscrewing our gear knob counterclockwise until we completely remove it from the lever; then we will also remove the base to take off the gear boot if necessary, as shown in the video. At this point, we install the new boot and subsequently the knob on the gear lever, screwing it in properly so that it is secure on the lever (there should be no play between the lever and the knob).
