How to Reset the "Service" Light on a Smart

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

To begin, sit in the driver's seat of your Smart. Activate the instrument cluster by turning the key to position one. Then, press the left button on the instrument panel twice within four seconds, and turn off the instrument cluster. Next, press and hold the same button while reactivating the instrument panel. Keep holding the left button until the "Service" light turns off, and you will have completed the reset.
