How do you remove the steering wheel of the Smart 450?

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Steering wheel

To remove the steering wheel of the Smart 450, simply unscrew the 40 torx screw located in the lower part of the steering wheel, in the central position. When this screw has been loosened, it will be possible to pull the steering outwards, turning it even a little to facilitate its removal. Once the steering has been removed from the column, it will also be necessary to detach its connectors in order to remove it completely. When the old steering has been removed, it will be possible to insert the new steering wheel, connecting it to the connector and fixing it again with the previously removed screw.

Want to remove the front headlight of a Mercedes S-Class? Let’s see how to proceed with the disassembly in the instructional video. Open the hood by pulling the hood release lever and secure it. Remove the retaining pins on the headlight bar using a socket wrench or battery-powered screwdriver. At this point, you will find additional pins on the lower side of the headlight; unscrew them from the metal brackets. Disconnect the bulb holders from the headlight and remove the headlight from the vehicle body. Install the new headlight with new bulbs if damaged (always use the correct type and size) and insert the headlight into its housing. Finally, tighten the pins on the headlight and test the proper functioning of the lights.
