How to Remove the Dashboard of a Smart 453?

To remove the dashboard of a Smart 453, start by removing the side cover near the driver's door and loosening the screws underneath. This will allow you to remove the cover located under the steering column and disconnect all connectors attached to its internal components. Then, you will need to pull off the plastic surrounding the instrument cluster and that around the central display: this should be removed by unscrewing the screws underneath and disconnecting the connectors at the back. Removing the display will allow you to detach the other plastics present on the dashboard and those covering the door pillars. By unscrewing the remaining bolts, the main dashboard cover can be removed.
