To remove the dashboard of the Smart 453, start by removing the cover near the driver's door and loosening the screws underneath to also remove the other components. Begin by disconnecting the cover located under the steering column, also disconnecting its connectors. Next, you can slide out the instrument cluster and the air vent next to it. At this point, you can remove the cover around the radio and then the radio itself by loosening its bolts. Now, the passenger airbag cover can be easily removed, along with all other dashboard components.
