In the event that the automatic transmission of the Smart Fortwo 453 series is blocked, for example due to the complete discharge of the battery, and you need to put the transmission in neutral, you can proceed by following the steps shown in the attached video. First, you need to remove the plastic mask of the gearbox console, and then raise the entire plastic of the central tunnel just enough to free a small yellow switch located in the floor. With the key inserted, this switch must be pushed upwards for a few seconds, in this way neutral gear will be engaged.
