If you notice the maintenance light appearing on the instrument panel when starting your Smart Fortwo 453, do not worry as you can easily eliminate it using the following manual reset procedure. First, insert the key and turn on the ignition. Next, use the top button located at the end of the right steering wheel stalk to navigate through the menu and locate the vehicle maintenance option. At this point, press and hold the "OK" button for about 20 seconds and release it as soon as the display stops flashing.
