How to Remove the Door Panel on a Smart 450

To remove the door panel on a Smart 450, unscrew the bolts securing the glove compartment located at the bottom left of the panel. Once these bolts are loosened, you can completely detach the drawer; next, unscrew the bolts that secure the grab handle, located at its top and bottom. After the grab handle is removed, you can lever under the panel to detach it from the door. This way, you can insert the new panel, securing the drawer and grab handle again.
