Removing the Engine from a Smart Fortwo

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to remove the entire engine block from the chassis of a Smart Fortwo. First, lift the vehicle and remove the lower plastic cover of the engine. Then, disconnect the fuel tank pipes and also disconnect the coolant pipes, draining everything into a container. At this point, unscrew the bolt securing the engine mount to the chassis using a socket spanner; then disconnect the intake hose and the air filter housing, gently lowering the entire engine block!
