Replace the Radiator Fluid on a Smart 450

Replacing the radiator fluid on a Smart 450 is a task you can do at home using some specific tools. First, purchase the new antifreeze of the specific colour required; ask your parts supplier. Next, place the car jack under the front left wheel and turn the handle until you have comfortable access to work under the engine. Get an old bucket to drain the used fluid and use a long hex key to unscrew the corresponding screw on the radiator tank. Unscrew the top-up cap to allow air into the system and completely empty it. After that, you can tighten the screw on the tank and top up the necessary amount of fluid from the bonnet. Dispose of the used fluid properly at an authorised workshop.
