How to Check the Coolant Level on Smart 450

In this video tutorial, you can see how to check the coolant level on a Smart 450. First, go to the front of your car where you will see two grilles on the left and right; to check the radiator fluid, you need the right grille. If you look closely at this grille, you will see a slot where you need to insert the key and turn it counterclockwise. Once you have removed the grille, you will see a plastic mesh that protects against the entry of leaves and other debris. To remove this protection, simply insert a finger into the slot and pull down until it releases. Now, looking inside the slot, you will see the air vent and ahead is the coolant reservoir for the radiator. Unscrew the cap only when the engine is cold to avoid splashes of hot fluid. Check the fluid level and top up if necessary.
