This guide provides instructions for removing and replacing the entire engine block of the Smart Fortwo. First, lift the vehicle and begin by removing the tailgate and bumper; then disconnect the battery, removing the bolts from the engine support (keeping the engine raised on a stand or jack), as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the exhaust, disconnecting the various electrical connections and fuel lines; proceed with reassembling the engine, following the video tutorial to the end!
