To reset the "Service" light on a Subaru Outback, start by turning on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Use the central touch screen to access the main menu of the infotainment system.

Once in the menu, look for and select the section dedicated to vehicle settings or maintenance. Within this section, you should find an option related to service intervals management.

Select the option for resetting maintenance intervals. The system will ask you to confirm the operation, and you will need to do so by touching the appropriate button on the screen.

At this point, the reset process will happen automatically, and the "Service" light will turn off, indicating that the system has recorded the new maintenance interval. After completing the procedure, turn off and on the instrument panel to verify that the light has been properly reset.
