Replacing the Remote Key Fob Battery for Subaru Outback

Follow this guide to replace the battery in a Subaru Outback remote key fob. Obtain a CR1620 battery, preferably Duracell. Using a flathead screwdriver, open the key shell from the side with the keyring attachment. Use a small flathead screwdriver to open the internal shell of the remote, releasing the two tabs on the sides. Open the shell and remove the old battery, noting the orientation. Use the small screwdriver to lift the metal tabs for a proper connection. Reassemble everything as it was disassembled.
