Replacing the Front Brake Pads

Model: Subaru Forester MK 2, SG - Years 2002-2008
Part: Brake pads

Loosen the wheel nuts and lift the vehicle, securing it safely. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Disconnect the electrical cable. Unscrew the two retaining screws of the caliper and remove it. Check the wear condition of the clips and the piston. Clean the entire braking assembly with alcohol or deoxidising spray and dry with compressed air. Grease the mounting pins and reposition the piston, ensuring proper operation. Install the new pads, paying attention to the direction of rotation and installing the one with contacts facing inwards. Reattach the caliper and reconnect the electrical cable. Ensure the pads are properly seated against the disc. Recheck the brake fluid level. Re-establish the position of the pistons by pressing the brake pedal.

How to replace the timing belt on a Chevrolet Matiz. Open the bonnet and secure it, lift the car on a column lift (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Use a fixed spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket spanner to undo the securing bolt of the tensioner pulley, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket spanner. Finally, refit the rivets along with the wheel arch liner and reattach the wheel with the tyre to the vehicle.
