Operation: How to replace the brake discs and pads of the Subaru Forester.

To replace the front brake discs and pads of the Subaru Forester, lift the front of the car, remove the right front wheel; with a 14mm socket wrench (first clean it with a steel brush and spray lubricant), unscrew the bolts that hold the caliper; remove the pads from the bracket, clean them with a steel brush and spray lubricant, unscrew the bolts that hold the bracket with a 17mm socket wrench and remove it; once the bracket is removed, the brake disc can also be removed, clean the hub with a steel brush and apply grease to it. Clean the pad bracket, insert the new pads into the bracket with the friction material towards the center and bleed (removing air bubbles) the brake system; position the new brake disc on the hub, clean it with a degreaser, clean the brake caliper, retract the two pistons so that they are parallel to the caliper, apply grease to the caliper, position the bracket with the pads on the disc and screw it back; position the brake caliper on the bracket and screw it back; check for any air leaks in the brake system and reassemble the wheel. Repeat the same procedure on the left side.
