Below are the instructions necessary for removing and replacing the front brake pads on the fourth generation Subaru Forester. Start by lifting the vehicle and removing the front wheel; then unscrew the bolts securing the front brake caliper, which are located at the rear, as shown in the video. At this point, lever the piston back slightly to remove the caliper and replace the brake pads; clean the caliper of any residual dirt and refit the new brake pads!
