Through this video, you can learn how to perform a soft reset of the display located on the central dashboard of the Subaru Outback. The only thing to do is locate the volume button and hold it down until the display turns off by itself.

Now, all that is left is to wait for it to restart. When should you carry out this procedure? Whenever the display shows minor issues, such as small anomalies in the touchscreen operation.

Since this is just a forced restart, it does not resolve problems that would require a software update.
