How to Replace Brake Discs

Model: Subaru Outback BE, BH, MK 2 - Years 1999-2003
Part: Brake rotors

The following guide provides useful instructions on how to replace the brake discs on your car. The braking system is of utmost importance to ensure that your vehicle's performance and the safety of the driver and passengers are always top-notch. The replacement procedure can be carried out independently, without the need for a mechanic, as long as you have a good level of manual dexterity. First, turn the steering wheel towards your side so that the brake caliper faces you. Lift the car with a jack and remove the wheel after taking off the wheel bolts. Take a hex key and unscrew all the bolts on the back that secure the caliper to the frame. At this point, only the caliper bracket with the brake pads inside will remain. Remove the brake pads using a flat screwdriver. This will leave only the brake disc, which can then be replaced.
