This tutorial shows how to disable Start&Stop in a Subaru, a very simple operation if you find this system too intrusive. First, turn on the instrument panel; it is not necessary to start the engine. Then, on the touch screen display, select the vehicle icon located in the lower left corner and go to the "Vehicle Control" tab. Scroll through the various functions until you find "Auto Start Stop", uncheck it, and return to the main screen. Note that the system deactivation is only temporary; it will need to be done every time the vehicle is started.
