How to Remove the Fuel Pump from a Suzuki Vitara

How do you remove the fuel pump from a Suzuki Vitara? Start by disconnecting the battery cables, then use a socket wrench to unscrew the bolts securing the metal cap, and remove it from its housing. Use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any accidental fluid leaks. Unscrew the large securing pin of the fuel pump (if present) with a chisel, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its housing along with any attached components. Finally, install a new part.
