Replacing Brake Pads

In this video, you will replace the front brake pads on a Suzuki 4x4. After securing the vehicle and positioning it on a jack, use a 14 mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the caliper. Extract the caliper and remove the first pad, followed by the second. At this point, reposition the caliper and take two new pads; compare them with the wear state of the pads just removed. Ensure you wash your hands to avoid contaminating the new pads; they must be clean and free from grease or other substances for optimal performance. Retrieve the retaining clips from the old pads and fit them onto the new ones before positioning them correctly. Refit the caliper and secure it with its two 14 mm bolts. After replacing the pads, avoid driving the vehicle immediately; test the brakes by gently pressing the same pedal to ensure the pads adhere properly and to check the braking performance.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
