How to Reset the Oil Change Light on a 2012 Suzuki Vitara

This guide describes the procedure to reset the oil change light for the 2012 Suzuki Vitara. Follow these steps in order: 1. Activate the instrument cluster to ensure the oil change light is still active; 2. Immediately after, turn off the instrument cluster and hold down the accelerator pedal for a few seconds; 3. Meanwhile, reactivate the instrument cluster and press the brake pedal 4 times in succession; 4. Sometimes it may be necessary to press the brake pedal 1 or 2 more times, so if the light does not turn off, repeat step 3 but refine it with step 4; 5. At this point, the oil change light will turn off. To ensure you have followed the steps correctly, restart the instrument cluster and check that the light has indeed turned off.
