Suzuki Swift - Video tutorial

Model: Suzuki Swift MK 3 - Years 1994-2004
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: Car shock absorber replacement

If our car has more than 100,000 km we should replace the shock absorbers. Their function is to cushion the vehicle's jolts as it faces the road. The guide shows how to replace them without resorting to the help of a trusted mechanic, saving you some money. First of all you have to go to an auto parts store to buy new ones. Once back home, let's go to the garage and get a compressor that is equipped with a pneumatic gun, a jack and a spring tensioning tool. We then raise the left side of the car with the jack and remove the wheel, taking care to remove all four bolts that hold it still. At this point, we will have to open the hood by operating the appropriate lever and remove all four screws that are positioned above the shock absorber. Subsequently, we also remove the two screws that are on the axle shaft and in addition the one placed on the stabilizer which is parallel to the shock absorber and will come off by itself.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
