How does the gear selector on the Tata Punch-EV work?

In this video we can see how the gear selector works on the Tata Punch-Ev, which comes with an automatic transmission as standard. It is not the classic gear lever, reminiscent of a manual transmission: here the parameters are completely changed, as it is a rotary selector with a digital indicator, which selects the classic "R" for reverse; "N" for neutral; "P" for parking; "D" for Drive, that is, for normal driving. The digital wheel, however, has an additional function: if you are in a hurry, you can turn the wheel quickly and easily reach the desired function, without having to fiddle with the lever as we are used to with the classic lever selector.
