How do you replace the passenger airbag of the Toyota RAV 4?

In order to replace the passenger airbag of the Toyota RAV 4, you need to open the glove compartment on the passenger side, so that you can loosen the screws that hold the dashboard cover in place. Once the panel is removed, you will be able to locate the underlying airbag, which can be released from its seat by disconnecting all the appropriate connectors; once the old airbag has been removed from its seat, you can then connect the new one, inserting it into the dashboard and reattaching the removed panel.
