Quick solution to the power steering failure on the 2007 Toyota Auris

In this video, we see how to easily solve a power steering problem in a 2007 Toyota Auris: we start by removing the dashboard cover, which is inserted under pressure and can be detached by levering with a plastic spatula and then pulling gently. Then we remove the analog instruments by taking out the four screws around the box and disconnecting the electrical contacts. Once this operation is done, we see a silver box inside: this is the control unit we are interested in, which has four electrical sockets connected to it, one gray, two white, and one further back, always white but larger with a lifting tab. Lift these tabs and disconnect all the cables. Wait a moment and then reconnect them: the power steering will start working again.
